The short version
Dusted uses the public competitive records you ask it to find and stores the minimum information needed to provide its record features. Dusted does not sell personal information or show third-party ads. Dusted uses limited advertising measurement to understand whether its own Meta ads lead to app installs and subscriptions. Dusted does not ask for governing-body passwords or retain contact details exposed by a governing body.
Information Dusted uses
Member numbers and public competition records
When you connect or look up a shooter, Dusted sends the governing-body member number to a Dusted-controlled service. That service requests the corresponding public record from the governing body and normalizes competitive information such as name, registered target counts, scores, classes, gauges, yardage, punches, seasons, and public honors.
Subscription information
Apple or Google processes purchases. RevenueCat helps Dusted determine whether a subscription entitlement is active. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, purchase and renewal status, product identifiers, device and store information, and related diagnostics. Dusted does not receive full payment-card details.
Advertising measurement
Dusted uses the Meta SDK and RevenueCat's Meta integration to measure whether Dusted's own Facebook and Instagram ads lead to installs, trials, or subscriptions. Depending on your platform and privacy choices, this may process an advertising identifier, a Meta-generated app identifier, an app-scoped device identifier, IP address, app activation information, and subscription conversion events. Meta may link this information with activity from its services for advertising measurement. Dusted disables Meta's automatic purchase logging and sends subscription events through RevenueCat to avoid duplicate reporting.
Technical and support information
Dusted's hosting and security providers may process technical request information such as IP address, user agent, request time, response status, and security events. If you contact Support, Dusted receives the email address and information you choose to include in that message.
Shoot schedules and reminders
When you browse Shoots, Dusted requests public event listings using the date range, governing bodies, and state or province you choose. Saved shoots stay on your device. Calendar entries and reminders are created only after you choose those actions and are handled by the device's calendar and notification services. Dusted does not create a public attendance list.
Information Dusted avoids
- No governing-body passwords.
- No third-party ads inside Dusted.
- No precise location, contacts, microphone recordings, or governing-body account credentials.
- No bulk copy of governing-body member directories.
- No intentional retention of date of birth, street address, telephone number, or personal email exposed by a governing body.
How information is used
- Find and display the public record requested by a user.
- Cache public records so the app remains useful and source sites receive fewer repeat requests.
- Build record history, comparisons, milestones, and refresh summaries.
- Find public registered shoots and keep events you choose available on your device.
- Confirm subscription access and provide purchase support.
- Measure whether Dusted's own advertising leads to installs and subscriptions.
- Protect, operate, diagnose, and improve Dusted.
- Respond to support, privacy, and record-correction requests.
Storage and retention
Connected records, saved shoots, and app preferences are currently stored on the device. A Dusted-controlled service may cache public competition records, public shoot schedules, and technical logs. Historical competition rows may be retained because they are effectively stable, while current-season records are refreshed when requested and stale. Cached shoot details are kept briefly so shared event links continue to work when an official source is temporarily unavailable. Support messages are kept as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and maintain a support record.
You can remove connected records from Settings or start over. Removing local app data does not alter the original public record held by a governing body.
Service providers
Dusted relies on service providers that process limited information to perform work on its behalf, including Apple and Google for app distribution and purchases, RevenueCat for subscription entitlements and conversion delivery, Cloudflare for controlled-origin hosting, caching, security, and delivery, and Meta for advertising measurement. Their handling of information is also governed by their own policies.
Public records and other shooters
Dusted can display another shooter's competitive record because the underlying record is publicly available from the relevant governing body. Dusted limits this feature to competitive information and does not present governing-body contact data.
Your choices
On iPhone and iPad, you can allow or deny tracking when Apple presents the system permission request, and you can change that choice later in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete the advertising ID in your device privacy settings. These choices do not affect Dusted's core record or subscription features.
You may ask questions about Dusted's data practices, request deletion of support information, or report an incorrect cached public record by emailing Support. You can remove Dusted's local records from the app's Data and Privacy settings. The governing body remains the authoritative source for correcting its original competition record.

Dusted is not directed to children under 13. Public competition records may include junior competitors, but Dusted does not intentionally collect private contact information about them.
Changes
This policy may change as Dusted adds accounts, platforms, or services. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
